• A New Green Earth brings us the latest on the Australia’s severe water shortages and resulting government restrictions on water use in her post today on Level Six Water Restrictions.
• WorldWatch Institute puts the spotlight on a project that allows rich countries to purchase carbon credits by paying for clean-energy projects in developing countries in their article, Biogas Project Ushers Rural Communities into Global Carbon Market. According to the article, “A renewable energy project in the North Kolar district of Karnataka, South India, has helped villagers adopt clean energy solutions while also generating emissions “credits” that can be sold on the international carbon market.”
