Kevin Bedell, cofounder of 21st Century Citizen

Kevin Bedell is the primary author of 21st Century Citizen.

Kevin has a BS in Engineering from Michigan Tech and and MBA from The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. He’s a 46-year-old father of 3 who believes that groups of individuals who are passionate about their beliefs can truly change the world.

Kevin was the founding editor of LinuxWorld Magazine and served as its Editor in Chief for over 2 years. Under Kevin’s leadership, LinuxWorld Magazine received the prestigious Award for Excellence in Technology Journalism presented by the Public Relations Society of America — after being selected from over 100 other entrants.

Kevin has also been writing and publishing on the web for over 10 years. He co-authored a successful technology book for SAMS Publishing, has written numerous articles for a variety of technical and trade magazines and has spoken internationally on a variety of topics in the areas of software development and open source software.

Kevin is also an accomplished musician and writes and performs original music in and around southern New Hampshire.

Kevin has now turned his focus and passion to environmental issues and is extremely excited about making a positive impact on the world through the growth and development of 21st Century Citizen.
